Spirit Of Christmas

May God bless you this festive season
And may He bring you joy and hope
May He give you strength and wisdom
May He also help you cope

For God gave his only begotten son
So we may all in Him believe
Twas the star that shone so bright that night
That night on Christmas Eve

Christmas is the day for giving gifts
Sharing love and peace throughout the earth
It's also the day God gave his precious gift to us
This day, of Jesus Christ's heavenly birth

Christmas is a time for rejoicing
And giving thanks to God on high
Take the love God has given to us all
And to another soul do apply

I wish you all a Merry Christmas
And a most prosperous New Year
May many people share your love
Throughout this hemisphere

Go forth and show your heart of gold
And help the needy to survive
Offer them goodwill and compassion
And let the spirit of Christmas stay alive
