Jesus, Be My Valentine

Jesus, will you be my Valentine?
I’ll make a special card for You.
I’ll paint it in bright colors and
Put in some candy, too!

I’m scared to ask somebody else.
They’re so busy all the time.
I wish that You would tell me
You’ll be my Valentine.

Last year, we moved a long way off.
These kids are hard to know.
Sometimes, they don’t play with me.
They just say they hafta go.

I’m trying hard to please them.
But, with You, I never worry.
You always listen to my prayers.
You’re never in a hurry.

I’m gonna make some Valentines
To give to all my class mates.
But, Yours will be the biggest one,
No matter just how long it takes!

I need a special Valentine
That sure won’t turn me down.
If You will be my Valentine, I’ll
Have the sweetest One in town!
